L&F Construction, LLC

Drilling and Shoring

About

L & F Construction is a minority-owned business that provides critical services in times of increasing need. L&F Construction maintains certified operators and crews specializing in vertical drilling, horizontal drilling, and crane operations with decades of combined experience.

Climate Change and Natural Disasters are among the leading causes of landslides. L&F Construction brings to market the technical expertise that is only increasing in demand. Because landslides of any size may threaten people and infrastructure, it is important to understand where and how landslides occur and how they may affect future development. Colorado experiences many landslides each year because of its steep terrain. Some of them occur in remote areas that are difficult to monitor, with most occurring west of the Front Range to the Western Slope. Damage from landslides in Colorado is estimated to be millions of dollars per year. A large rockfall or landslide can dam a river, cover or damage roads, knock bridges off their abutments, or crash into moving traffic. Landslides can also present serious threats to buildings and homes built in slide paths.

The increases in population and material wealth over the last several decades are an important factor for higher damage potential. These trends are further complicated by the fact that many population centers and infrastructure exist in vulnerable areas. When viewed in tandem, L&F Construction can provide a critical service to an industry that is unable to meet demand or growth.

Soil nail and tiebacks wall construction is a technique used to bring soil stability in areas where landslides might be a problem. Soil nail can prevent landslides by inserting steel reinforcement bars into the soil and anchoring them to the soil strata.

Market trends will continue rising based on projections, which provides an opportunity for greater business reach in the region. Due to its relative cost, over traditional cut retaining walls, the use of soil nailing has drastically increased over the last 40 years.

Locally resourced employees translates into steady and consistent labor and employment opportunities for communities. Our small business model allows us to keep service cost low, pass that saving on to the customer, and gives us a market advantage. This benefit is further realized by the direct returns to local commerce and tax infusions into local HUD zones.
